The cold weather is upon us, and it’s time to keep warm while looking stylish. Winter fashion is all about textures and layering. If done correctly anyone can keep warm and look stylish. I’ve picked out some of my favorite things I think can truly add a little class to your winter wear.
TopShop Premium Metallic Calf Skirt - The midi skirt is back! They were popular in the ‘40s, then made an appearance in the ‘70s, but designers have given the skirt new life for this season. Either choosing one with a high waist or styling it with a belt should balance the skirt out.
Zara Silk Shirt - I like wearing a button-down silk blouse because it’s the best option to improve a look. They’re comfortable and can be worn for any occasion.
DSW Qupid Strip-27 flat - As much as I love my heels, flats are the easier choice for everyday wear — especially walking on campus. However, I like to make sure the flats have a style to them whether it be a bow or a solid color.
Alice + Olivia Ritchie sequined-crepe dress - I cannot fathom how much I love the sequins this season! These should only be worn for parties. There’s not much need for accessories because there is already a lot of bling going on. Styling should include black tights with a great pair of heels.
Miu Miu Pleated wool coat - A black coat is simple, classic and easy to wear.
Miu Miu Faux pearl-embellished crepe dress - The Peter Pan collar is very popular. Anything with a Peter Pan collar works great in a dress or blouse.
Michael Kors Bromley Flat Boots - Flat boots can be worn with skinny jeans, leggings and even dresses.
Topshop Twis Fringe Scarf - Scarves are crucial to keeping warm, but they can be a nice touch to your outfit.
Donna Karen Leather and stretch-jersey skinny pant - Leather doesn’t always fit well with everyone, but I have seen many people wearing it this winter and it’s comfortable. The pant can be worn either casually with a sweater or classy with a blouse and blazer.
TopShop Faux Fur Shaggy Longline Gilet - The fur vest is hitting its stride this fashion season. It can add a boho touch to your winter wardrobe.
DSW Kelly & Katie Bayfield Large Snake Tote - I love my tote bags because they are fun, and I can fit about a million things in there, like makeup and notebooks.
Deborah Lippmann Celebrity Shades Nail Polish - I’ve always loved wearing red during this time because it adds a splash of color to the nudes and dark colors.
There are a lot of trendy elements here that can be added to your everyday wardrobe.
These items can either add elegance, simplicity or a splash of color to a girl’s winter wardrobe. But, most importantly, you must try to stay true to your personal style.
What are some of your favorite winter wears?
Stylishly Yours xoxo
